A 61-year-old man was detained in Irkutsk after chasing schoolgirls with a knife and trying to break into their apartment, Telegram channel Babr Mash reported. When he failed to enter the home, he slashed the apartment door with the blade.
The man was in an incompetent state at the time of his detention. During questioning, he told police that he was standing on his balcony when girls walking on the street were rude to him. He went downstairs to confront them, had a verbal argument, and returned home.
Police Interrogation
He soon heard noise under his windows and saw a crowd of children with parents. He argued with them and went outside a second time carrying a knife, saying that in a fit of anger he grabbed the knife and began chasing them. He expressed remorse at the police station.
