Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf called the United States strategy of pressuring Tehran to reach a deal a failure.
Writing on social network X, Ghalibaf accused Washington of using intimidation, unfulfilled promises, and fake news as leverage. He said theatrical diplomacy was repeating, citing messages that warn of a massive attack before telling people to pay no attention because negotiations are desired. He urged the American side to recognize facts, fulfill its obligations, and end the theatre.
US military operation remarks
His comments came after United States President Donald Trump suggested that a military operation against Iran would end soon. Trump also expressed doubt that representatives from Tehran would be able to hold out much longer.
