Ethel Pozo revealed for the first time that her husband, telenovela director Julián Alexander, deceived her when they were getting to know each other, and he admitted the lie during the same conversation.
The revelation came on the latest episode of her podcast Modo Pareja On, which airs on YouTube.

Pozo, the 45 year old former host of América hoy, said the deception happened while she and Alexander, the father of her children, were falling in love. She asked him directly what harmless lie he had told to win her over. Alexander answered that he had lied about his age to get her to agree to go out with him.

What Ethel Pozo said
Pozo told the camera that Alexander lied about his age, and that he calls it a harmless lie because he believed she would not have accepted otherwise. She said he had added two years to his age, and told him she would never forgive him for it.
Julián Alexander's explanation
Alexander said he lied to avoid being rejected. He said he quickly worked out that since he was four years older than her, telling her the true age gap would make her think he was too young for her, so he said he was only two years older to narrow the apparent difference.
Pozo, now the host of Sin más que decir, said she found out around Alexander's next birthday, when she realized the real age gap was bigger than he had claimed. Alexander said the lie was only meant to get her to agree to go on a date, and that afterward everything was fine between them.
