Ethel Pozo moved to tears by husband Julián Alexander

Peruvian television presenter Ethel Pozo was moved to tears when her husband, telenovela director Julián Alexander, discussed fidelity and marital commitment during an appearance on the talk show Sin más que decir on September 9, 2026.

Alexander, who has been with Pozo for four years, pledged his dedication to their marriage and family, ruling out unfaithfulness while acknowledging that temptations are always present in relationships.

Speaking on the program, Alexander said all couples must push forward and work hard on a daily basis. He noted that marriage is never a fairy tale, explaining that it includes both beautiful moments and difficult times that demand ongoing commitment.

Alexander addressed the issue of temptation directly during the broadcast, stating that while temptation exists for both partners, commitment defines how a couple responds. He added that if he were to fail his wife, he would also be failing his own son, her daughters whom he raises with equal love, their five-member household, and his mother-in-law.

Family commitments and emotional reaction

During his appearance, Alexander made a public promise that he would not fail any member of his family. His statements caused Pozo to shed tears on set, leading Alexander to tell her affectionately that she should not cry.

Pozo explained that his words had deeply moved her. She added that men unfortunately do not always realize that when someone fails their partner, they are failing their entire family.

Reflecting on his past, Alexander admitted that he had lived a somewhat wild lifestyle in previous years, describing himself as having been a bit of a devil before settling down. He concluded by saying that he has since retired from that lifestyle and is now content with married life.

Background and career details

Alexander works as a television director at Del Barrio Producciones, a major Peruvian television production company. The company was founded by his sister, the television producer Michelle Alexander, and is widely known for creating popular telenovelas and miniseries for Peruvian networks.

Pozo is a television presenter in Peru who is currently preparing to make her debut as a stage actress. She is the daughter of veteran Peruvian television host and media executive Gisela Valcárcel, to whom Alexander sent a greeting during the show.

The interview provided a rare joint public discussion about the couple's four-year relationship as they continue their respective careers in Peruvian television and theater.
