TikTok blogger Danya Milokhin had hundreds of thousands of rubles recovered from him and his bank account seized over a copyright infringement fine assigned in 2024.
Milokhin announced the enforcement measures in a video published on his Instagram account, which is owned by Meta Corporation, an organization recognized as extremist and banned in Russia. In the clip, Milokhin displayed a notification showing that enforcement proceedings had been opened against him for a total recovery amount of 407,000 rubles.
The notification warned that failing to comply with the bailiff's demand within five days would result in an enforcement fee of at least 1,000 rubles. The funds are being recovered in favor of singer Oleg Likhachev, whose song the blogger used in a video without permission. Milokhin also showed a message from a bank stating that his account was frozen for the specified sum.
Orenburg court ruling
In July 2024, a court in Orenburg ruled that Milokhin must pay a 400,000 ruble fine for copyright infringement following a lawsuit filed by Likhachev. The singer accused the blogger of illegally using his song Vladimir Putin is a fine fellow in a video published in 2020.
