Russian TV presenter and blogger Victoria Bonya was publicly criticized by her daughter Angelina Smurfit over her spending habits, in a video posted to Bonya’s YouTube channel.
Angelina asked her mother for 50 euros but was turned down on the grounds that she had already spent around 300 euros that day. Angelina hit back by accusing Bonya of returning from a trip to Dubai with bags from Hermes, Gucci and Louis Vuitton, and said her mother had spent 30,000 euros during the UAE visit.
Bonya replied that she had the right to spend as much as she liked because she was an adult who earned her own money. She agreed to give her daughter 25 euros.
Angelina had previously complained that her father, millionaire businessman Alex Smurfit, also refused to give her pocket money. She has also described Europeans as greedy.
