Home appliance manufacturer Beko has launched the bPRO500 series BDFN36560XWP, a freestanding 60-centimetre dishwasher featuring automated dirt-sensing technology, a capacity of 15 place settings, and a Class A energy rating.

Retailing for 599 euros, the appliance operates at a sound output of 41 decibels (dBA) and is designed to function as an independent unit without requiring custom kitchen cabinet integration.
Beko, a major global home appliance manufacturer based in Turkey, designed the unit around standard European 60-centimetre kitchen dimensions. Under the European Union energy labeling system, which ranks appliances from A to G, a Class A rating represents the highest tier of energy efficiency.
The core innovation of the dishwasher is SensorAdapt, an integrated soil sensor that monitors the cleanliness of the dishes and automatically adjusts both the washing program and water consumption. Technology reviewer Juan Scaliter, who tested the appliance over a period of just more than a month, noted that the system functions similarly to robotic vacuum cleaners by detecting dirt levels and intensifying cleaning in heavily soiled areas.
The unit can also be programmed up to 24 hours in advance to run during off-peak hours. Scaliter observed that while appliance manufacturers continue to rely on complex technical model codes like BDFN36560XWP rather than consumer-friendly names, the automated sensor effectively matches wash intensity to specific loads, preventing unnecessary resource consumption when cleaning lightly soiled dinner glasses compared to heavy family meals.
Wash Programs and Smart Connectivity
The dishwasher includes 11 standard built-in wash programs. Key cycles include Intensive 70 °C for heavy grime, Eco 50 °C for energy efficiency, Quick & Shine for rapid cleaning, Mini for smaller loads, and the main SensorAdapt mode.
Smart connectivity is provided via Beko's HomeWhiz platform, which utilizes both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Through the companion app, users can download five additional specialized cycles: AquaFlex, SilentWash, Delicate 40, Clean & Shine, and Prewash.
Evaluating the smart features, Scaliter noted that the HomeWhiz application expands operational options and cycle downloads. However, he highlighted a current limitation in the remote control feature, which requires users to be in physical proximity to the appliance to confirm activation, noting that this could be addressed in future software updates.
Capacity and Modular Interior Racks
Providing space for 15 place settings within its 60-centimetre frame, the appliance is structured to handle high-volume household demands. Scaliter reported that the capacity proves particularly useful during summer gatherings, holiday celebrations, and busy family routines, adding that the extra space is helpful when teenagers clean their rooms and dozens of missing glasses reappear.
The interior architecture features a dedicated top tray, designated as the Flexi 3rd Rack, designed specifically for cutlery and small utensils. The upper basket includes a three-position height adjustment system that can be modified even when fully loaded with dishes.
To accommodate tableware of varying shapes and sizes, the upper basket is equipped with six foldable supports alongside Soft Spike elements to hold delicate items securely. The lower basket incorporates 12 foldable supports, allowing users to flatten tines to accommodate larger pots, serving bowls, and baking dishes.
Cleaning Performance and Water Efficiency
For tough residue, the appliance incorporates Beko's PowerIntense system. The technology relies on a specialized spray arm engineered to direct concentrated, high-pressure water jets toward targeted areas to loosen stubborn baked-on food and dried sauces from cookware.
Acoustic performance is rated at 41 dBA, a noise level comparable to the ambient sound of a quiet room, making the unit suitable for open-plan living spaces and nighttime operation. For further sound reduction during late hours, users can run the downloadable SilentWash cycle, though Beko notes that the 41 dBA rating applies to standard operation rather than every individual cycle.
Water consumption is measured at 8.9 litres per cycle. Scaliter reported that this rate uses less water than manual hand-washing methods over comparable cleaning volumes. A half-load function is also available for running smaller loads without waiting for the dishwasher to be completely filled.
Drying Features and Installation
The dishwasher includes three specialized post-wash functions: SelfDry to improve drying management at the end of the cycle, SteamGloss to enhance shine on tableware and glassware, and SuperRinse to deliver an extra rinse for thorough detergent removal.
As a freestanding model, the appliance features a straightforward installation process that does not require specialized cabinetry fitting. Scaliter concluded that the 599-euro unit stands out as one of the key summer domestic gadgets due to its combination of low noise, energy efficiency, and versatile loading options.
