KONKR, a subsidiary of handheld gaming company AYANEO, has announced the Pocket Advance, a retro gaming console aimed at establishing a premium position in the retro handheld market.

The Pocket Advance carries a 3.5-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 960×640 pixels. It measures 151.3mm x 82.4mm x 22mm and weighs 224 grams. The device includes large and small trigger buttons along the top edge, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, a microSD card slot, and a USB 2.0 Type-C charging port.
The console runs a custom interface developed by KONKR and includes a desktop launcher called AYAHome. The company said the device is designed to play retro games at high quality. No release date has been announced.
