American reality television star Anika Rashaun has died at the age of 34 after battling stage four breast cancer.
Her death was reported by People magazine, which stated that medical teams were unable to save the television star as she received treatment for the illness.

Rashaun was diagnosed with cancer in the summer of 2025. She subsequently underwent a course of chemotherapy as doctors worked to manage the condition, which had reached an advanced stage.
Tributes from lifelong friends
Following the news of her death, close friend Tiara Ramos paid tribute to Rashaun, noting that she had known the television personality for more than 20 years.
Ramos said Rashaun had always remained true to herself, staying steadfast in her beliefs, principles, and personal views. She also praised Rashaun for possessing a unique ability to achieve what she wanted and win those around her over to her side.
The tribute highlighted the extraordinary loyalty and love Rashaun showed to her friends, with Ramos stating that Rashaun supported them unconditionally until the very end.
Rise to fame on MTV reality shows
Rashaun originally rose to public prominence as a cast member on popular reality series on the American cable network MTV, most notably The Real World. The groundbreaking unscripted franchise, which first debuted in 1992, places a group of young strangers together in a shared residence to document their daily interactions, relationships, and interpersonal conflicts.
She also went on to compete in The Challenge, MTV's long running game show spinoff that pits alumni from various reality programmes against one another in intense physical contests and elimination challenges. Her appearances across the franchises made Rashaun a familiar face to reality television fans.
Career shift into psychotherapy
In recent years, Rashaun moved away from full time entertainment to establish a career in personal counseling. She worked professionally as a dating consultant helping clients with relationships, while simultaneously pursuing graduate studies to qualify as a licensed family psychotherapist before her diagnosis.
Stage four breast cancer, also known in medicine as metastatic cancer, is the most advanced classification of the disease, occurring when cancer cells spread beyond the breast tissue to other organs. Chemotherapy regimens are commonly administered at this stage to slow tumour progression and manage symptoms.
