Angelina Smurfit Speaks Out on Handling Parents' Divorce

Angelina Smurfit, the daughter of Russian blogger Victoria Bonya, has publicly shared her advice on dealing with parental divorce in a newly published video.

The clip was posted by Bonya to her Instagram account after a follower asked the pair to offer guidance for a child whose parents are preparing to dissolve their marriage.

Responding to the subscriber, Angelina advised that children should avoid focusing on the negative aspects of a split and instead look for positive outcomes, such as receiving additional gifts from separated parents.

Advice on family splits

Angelina added that parents who decide to end their marriage always have clear reasons for doing so. She explained that if two adults no longer love each other, it is better for them to separate rather than remain together.

Victoria Bonya is a prominent Russian media personality, model, and digital creator who first gained national fame on reality television before building a massive social media following centered on lifestyle, beauty, and international travel.

Angelina's father is Irish businessman Alex Smurfit, the son of paper packaging tycoon Sir Michael Smurfit. Bonya and Smurfit were in a long term relationship during the 2010s before eventually parting ways, and they continue to co parent their daughter.

The video containing Angelina's comments was shared on Instagram, which is operated by American technology giant Meta Platforms. Russian legal authorities officially designated Meta as an extremist organization and banned its platforms within the Russian Federation.

Previous public comments

The discussion about divorce is not the first time that Angelina has commented on her mother's personal life and habits in front of her social media audience.

In an earlier exchange, the young girl reproached her mother for spending millions of rubles during a trip to Dubai, questioning her lavish shopping spending.

Angelina pointedly reminded Bonya that she had returned from the United Arab Emirates carrying expensive luxury designer bags from high end fashion brands including Hermes, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.

Dubai has long served as a global hub for luxury retail, featuring major boutiques for historic European fashion houses such as France's Hermes and Louis Vuitton alongside Italy's Gucci. Bonya regularly shares updates from her travel itinerary with her online audience.
