Former prima ballerina Anastasia Volochkova has declared she will never return to businessman Suleiman Kerimov following what she described as his betrayal.
Speaking to the Public News Service, the Russian artist excluded any possibility of renewing her romantic relationship with the billionaire. She stated that while Kerimov once occupied a special place among her suitors, his past actions had permanently closed her heart to him.
Volochkova said Kerimov stood above all the other men who had courted her and noted that he had once been prepared to give her the entire world. However, she added that he subsequently tried to destroy her, explaining that she never forgives betrayals.
Refusal of marriage proposals
The dancer's comments regarding Kerimov follow earlier statements about her personal life, in which she confirmed refusing a marriage proposal from actor Nikita Dzhigurda. Volochkova explained that she turned down the offer because she was unwilling to marry simply to avoid being lonely.
Volochkova, who holds the title of Honoured Artist of Russia and has never been officially married, added that she is not prepared to enter into a marriage merely to tick a box.
