British television presenter Abbey Clancy revealed she felt nauseous after looking through her husband Peter Crouch's phone and discovering his teenage crush on Gladiators star Jet.
Speaking on an episode of their podcast, The Therapy Crouch, the model confessed to confronting the former England footballer after searching through his device without his knowledge, Metro reported.
Crouch told his wife that she should not have gone through his personal phone. Clancy defended her actions, arguing that every woman checks her partner's phone and stating that her search had uncovered unexpected information about him.
Gladiators star Jet
Clancy explained to Crouch that she found out he had been in love with Jet, played by athlete Diane Youdale, from the television show Gladiators. She admitted that learning about the crush made her feel sick to her stomach and left her upset.
Crouch defended himself by explaining that his admiration for the television performer occurred when he was a teenager. He noted that Youdale is now around 60 years old, but Clancy maintained that knowing her husband had harboured feelings for another woman was still difficult to hear.
Youdale rose to fame in the 1990s as Jet on ITV's hit sports entertainment show Gladiators. The popular series pitted members of the public against elite physical athletes in trials of strength, speed, and endurance. The show returned to British television screens with a reboot on BBC One in 2024.
Live broadcast admissions
The admission on the podcast follows a similar revelation by British television presenter Lorraine Kelly. Kelly recently shared that she received an explicit text message from her husband praising her breasts while she was hosting a live television broadcast.
Clancy and Crouch, who married in 2011, continue to co-host their weekly podcast, where they regularly share lighthearted anecdotes and personal stories about their marriage.
