Reality show participant Sidney Starr was arrested on August 2 for child sexual abuse, according to the Daily Mail.
Police detained Starr, who appeared in the American reality show Love & Hip Hop: New York. The show participant faces charges of sexual abuse of a child under 16 years old, aggravated harassment of a minor, and sodomy.
Starr was taken into custody and is currently held in jail in Fulton County, Georgia.
Reality show appearances
In addition to Love & Hip Hop: New York, Starr has appeared in other television programs. These include the reality show Atlanta Plastic, which focuses on the work of leading plastic surgeons in Atlanta, and the talk show Girlfriends and Champagne.
British television show arrest
Separately, a star of the British version of Married At First Sight was arrested on suspicion of rape. The arrest followed the premiere of the documentary program Panorama on the BBC channel.
In the documentary, two former female participants of the show stated that they were raped by their screen husbands during filming.
