Russian Strikes in Dnipropetrovsk Kill Two, Injure Six

Two people died and six others were injured after Russian forces launched nearly 50 strikes on Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, according to local officials.

Local governor Oleksandr Hanza reported on Telegram that Russian troops targeted five different areas using drones, bombs and artillery shells. He said one of the wounded victims remains in serious condition in hospital.

Casualties near Nikopol

The two fatalities occurred near Nikopol, a frequently targeted town on the west bank of the Dnieper River opposite the Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, according to news agency APE-MPE.

The attacks caused fresh civilian casualties as local authorities continued recording damage and assessing the situation in the affected areas. Officials remain on alert for potential new attacks in the region.
