PrivatBank raised its US dollar exchange rate by 20 kopecks to 44.80 hryvnias per dollar on Wednesday, 9 September, in Ukraine.
The European currency also experienced an increase at the state-owned lender, rising by 30 kopecks to reach 52.25 hryvnias per euro.
Customers looking to sell foreign currency to the bank received a rate of 44.20 hryvnias per dollar and 51.25 hryvnias per euro.

Card payment rates at PrivatBank changed on Wednesday as well. The dollar rate for card transactions rose by 20 kopecks to 44.64 hryvnias, while the euro card payment rate increased by 28 kopecks to 52.36 hryvnias.
Official exchange rates and market averages
The National Bank of Ukraine, the country central bank responsible for setting monetary policy and regulating currency markets, set the official dollar rate at 44.47 hryvnias for 9 September. This kept the official dollar valuation unchanged from the previous indicator.
The Ukrainian hryvnia gained ground against the euro in official trading. The central bank set the official euro rate at 51.64 hryvnias per euro, representing a 4 kopeck gain for the national currency.
Across the broader Ukrainian banking sector, commercial lenders increased their exchange rates for both major foreign currencies on Wednesday.
The average bank selling rate for the US dollar rose by 9 kopecks to 44.87 hryvnias per dollar. Ukrainian banks offered to purchase dollars from the public at an average buying rate of 44.39 hryvnias.
Commercial bank euro rates followed a matching pattern across the market. The average selling rate for euros grew by 9 kopecks to 52.14 hryvnias per euro, while the average buying rate stood at 51.50 hryvnias per euro.
