PrivatBank lowered its US dollar exchange rate by 15 kopiykas to 44.90 hryvnias per dollar on Wednesday, August 5. The bank also reduced its euro rate by 10 kopiykas to 51.90 hryvnias per euro. Customers can sell US dollars to PrivatBank at 44.30 hryvnias and euros at 50.90 hryvnias per unit.

For card settlements at PrivatBank, the US dollar rate fell by 21 kopiykas to 44.84 hryvnias on Wednesday. The euro rate for card payments decreased by 27 kopiykas to 51.81 hryvnias.
National Bank and market rates
The National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rate for August 5 at 44.75 hryvnias per US dollar, strengthening the Ukrainian currency by 4 kopiykas compared to the previous period. The official euro rate was set at 51.54 hryvnias, representing a 10 kopiyka gain for the hryvnia.
Across commercial banks in Ukraine, the average dollar exchange rate dropped by 11 kopiykas to 44.97 hryvnias per dollar, with banks buying dollars at an average rate of 44.48 hryvnias. The average euro rate across banks fell by 16 kopiykas to 51.82 hryvnias, while the average purchase rate for euros stood at 51.21 hryvnias.
