Peruvian singer Néstor Villanueva has publicly criticized his ex-partner Florcita Polo after she requested a legal increase in child support payments for their two sons to S/10,000 per month.
The requested adjustment represents a fivefold increase over previous amounts, reigniting a bitter and longstanding public dispute between the former celebrity couple.
Villanueva expressed strong disagreement with the request, explaining that he currently pays S/4,000 each month as previously mandated by a judge. He described the new financial demand as unfair and claimed that he is continuing to meet his existing court-ordered obligations.

Dispute Over S/10,000 Support Demand
The legal clash involves monthly child support for the two children Villanueva shares with Polo, whose full name is Flor Polo Díaz. The pair were married for over a decade before their high-profile separation, during which their personal and financial affairs frequently played out in the Peruvian media spotlight.
According to Villanueva, the current monthly payment of S/4,000 in Peruvian soles, set by judicial order, is being fully honored. He argued that forcing an increase to S/10,000 monthly places an unreasonable burden upon him despite his ongoing efforts to support his family.
The singer also revealed that he has been unable to see his two children for several years. He stated that despite the ongoing legal battles and his lack of visitation, he remains committed to fighting for his right to be present in their lives.

Risk of Imprisonment and Parental Claims
Addressing the new court motion directly, Villanueva questioned his former wife's motives behind demanding such a substantial increase. He asked whether her ultimate intention was to see him deprived of his freedom if he failed to meet the inflated financial payments.
The artist emphasized that his ex-partner appears to have forgotten his status as the father of their children. He asserted that regardless of the intense legal confrontation, he will persist in defending his paternal role and seeking access to his sons.
Celebrity History and Legal Background
Villanueva and Polo have been prominent figures in Peruvian entertainment for years. Polo is the daughter of famous Peruvian media personality Susy Díaz and the late composer Augusto Polo Campos, while Villanueva built his career as a cumbia musician and television figure.
Their relationship has previously generated significant public controversy. The couple's history includes prior television appearances, such as Villanueva's participation in the interview program El Valor de la Verdad, where questions were raised regarding their marriage and past personal conflicts.
As the court considers Polo's petition to raise the child support payment to S/10,000, Villanueva maintains his stance against the demand while insisting he will continue pursuing legal avenues to maintain a relationship with his children.
