The Miss World Dominican Republic organization has announced an open casting call in Santo Domingo to select the country's representative for the 2027 international pageant.
Auditions will take place on Sunday, September 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Caribbean Cinemas inside the Downtown Center commercial complex.
Organizers said the open call officially begins the national search for young women who could represent the Dominican Republic in future national and international beauty competitions.
Downtown Center is a multi-level shopping and entertainment complex located in the Bella Vista neighborhood of Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic. Caribbean Cinemas is a prominent motion picture exhibitor operating multiplex theaters across the Dominican Republic and the wider Caribbean region.

The open audition provides a platform for aspiring contestants from across the nation to present themselves before a panel of judges. Applicants selected during the morning casting call will enter structured preparation for upcoming title competitions.

The announcement of the new casting session comes as the current Dominican representative for the 2025 edition, Joheirry Mola Domínguez, prepares for the Miss World grand final on Saturday, September 5, in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
More than 100 delegates from countries around the globe are gathering in Nha Trang to compete for the international title. Domínguez is seeking to win the second Miss World crown for the Dominican Republic, following the country's first victory in 1982.
Nha Trang is a coastal resort city in Khanh Hoa Province in southern Vietnam, known internationally for its beaches, scuba diving, and major convention facilities. The city is hosting the contestants for several weeks of preliminary events ahead of the final televised gala.

Activities scheduled prior to the final crowning ceremony include preliminary judging rounds, talent contests, cultural presentations, and project assessments tied to the Beauty With a Purpose program.
