Representatives for Russian pop singer Mia Boyka have rejected allegations of intimidation made by blogger Felitsiya Malets, describing the claims as direct slander, according to news reports published on Monday.
The dispute escalated after Malets released a recorded telephone conversation featuring a man who identified himself as Mansur. The caller stated during the audio exchange that he wanted to settle matters with the blogger on behalf of the pop performer.
The conflict stems from an unresolved financial disagreement between Malets and Boyka over an unpaid wig ordered for a music video production. Following the telephone interaction, the blogger expressed serious concern regarding her personal security.
Management response to threat accusations
Addressing the allegations through statements published by the Russian entertainment news channel Super on Telegram, members of Boyka's management team firmly dismissed the blogger's claims. Representatives stated that the allegations directed at the singer were absolute nonsense, adding that all personal and professional conflicts involving the artist are handled strictly in compliance with the law.
The singer's team voiced surprise that online audiences were willing to believe what they characterized as absurd staged videos without verifying the facts first. They maintained that the accusations broadcast by Malets in her video post amounted to direct defamation against Boyka.
