Former footballer Jefferson Farfán has surprised young Alianza Lima player Runy Mucha by gifting him and his family an apartment near La Victoria. The former player stated that he decided on the gesture from the heart because he identifies with the young athlete's story of effort and the sacrifices made by Mucha's father to support his sports training.
Farfán, known as La Foquita, shared the emotional moment on his YouTube channel. He prepared the surprise for Mucha and welcomed the young talent alongside his father to present the new property. Farfán explained that the apartment was a present from him and his family given with great affection. He noted that the family previously had to travel all the way from Pachacámac to La Victoria, and he expressed hope that the new home would be a special place allowing them to live closer to Mucha's training sessions.
Before handing over the keys, Farfán explained that his mother, Doña Charo, was also part of the initiative. He said that together they personally took charge of purchasing everything necessary to fully equip the new home. The presentation was marked by emotion as Mucha and his father embraced Farfán and thanked him for his support.
Shared History at Alianza Lima
Mucha is considered a young promise in Peruvian football. He developed his early skills at Club Lanús Perú and won the Copa Promesas title with Alianza Lima in the 2012 category. He also maintains a close friendship with Farfán's son, Jeremy.
Farfán revealed that he has known Mucha since the boy was seven years old, noting that he has shared wonderful moments with him alongside Jeremy and feels enormous happiness for the family. The former player and businessman explained that he sees himself reflected in Mucha because he went through the exact same adversities during his own early career at Alianza Lima, where he also received assistance from others.
Farfán added that he hopes his support will motivate Mucha to fulfill his athletic dreams and, above all, grow into a great person.
