Dominican designer Hiedy Paniagua has launched AMA, a new brand that connects fashion, wellness and real-life conversation, presented at an event in Santo Domingo called "Vistete de tu historia," or "Dress in your story."
The gathering served as the starting point to show the different pillars that will shape the brand. Although clothing is an important part of the project, AMA aims to go far beyond the wardrobe.

Paniagua said AMA was born from her own personal processes, from learning to leave behind versions of herself that no longer resonated with her, and from understanding that at every stage a woman has to get to know herself again. She said there are many versions of ourselves and all of them are valid.

A brand you wear
The first AMA clothing line offers garments designed to support women through comfort, authenticity and the freedom to move at their own pace.
Alongside it, AMA Caribe, a swimwear collection inspired by the energy, colors and essence of the Caribbean, is set to arrive soon.

In this way, fashion becomes one of the entry points into a wider project that also aims to address how women feel, how they relate to their bodies and how they experience each stage of life.
Conversations that connect
Clothing lets people express who they are, but conversation is also part of that construction. Another announcement of the night was AMA El Podcast, a platform that will cover wellness, self-love, relationships, health and personal growth.
The idea is to create a close, relatable space, the kind where one person can recognize herself in another's story. Growing does not always mean having the answers; often it means questioning things, changing course and starting over.
Real women, real stories
That same spirit ran through the panel "Mujeres que inspiran" ("Women who inspire"), where different women shared experiences, challenges and lessons from their own perspectives.

Rather than presenting perfect stories, the conversation highlighted something closer to reality: that every woman follows a different path, and that there is value in the stages of doubt, change and rebuilding too.
An ecosystem still being built
With this first presentation, AMA made clear that it is not limited to a clothing collection. The project brings together fashion, swimwear, a podcast and wellness experiences, with plans to keep adding initiatives that connect body, mind, emotions and lifestyle.
The event was backed by several sponsoring brands and partners who joined this first experience.

For Paniagua, though, the real purpose is to build a community that can grow alongside the brand and support women as they go through their own transformations.
That, she suggested, is the essence of AMA: not erasing earlier versions of who we are, but recognizing them as part of our story.
"Vistete de tu historia" is, in that sense, more than the name of a launch. It is an invitation to accept change, embrace the different versions of oneself, and understand that a personal story does not have to be hidden. It can also be worn.
AMA is only just beginning. Paniagua said the project's world is set to keep growing with new collections, conversations and experiences built around fashion, wellness and community.
