Turkish crime drama Faraway City returns for its third season on September 14, 2026, following a young mother fighting an influential mafia family.
The premiere will broadcast on Turkish television network Kanal D at 20:00 local time, which matches Moscow time. New episodes are expected to air weekly on Mondays. The exact number of episodes for season three has not been disclosed, following a 28-episode first season and a 35-episode second season.

Promotion for the new season began in late August 2026, when the first teaser clip appeared online. A few days later, Kanal D released the official poster featuring lead characters Alya and Cihan.
Storyline and Season Finale Events
Faraway City centers on Alya Albora, played by Sinem Unsal, a freedom-loving woman living in Canada with her husband Boran, played by Burc Kumbetlioglu, and their young son Deniz-Cihan, played by Kuzey Gezer. After her husband dies, Alya returns with her child to his hometown, the ancient Turkish city of Mardin.
In Mardin, Alya realizes she is trapped. Her late husband's family, a conservative and influential mafia clan, refuses to allow the young heir Deniz to leave. Boran's final will requires Alya to marry his brother Cihan, the head of the Albora clan played by Ozan Akbaba.
By the end of season one, genuine feelings develop between the pair. Cihan persuades Alya to abandon her plans to return to Canada and promises to care for her son.
The plot complicates in season two when Boran unexpectedly returns. He had survived an assassination attempt arranged by his biological father Ecmel, played by Mufit Kayacan, and fallen into a coma. Alya donated her kidney to save him, but upon waking, Boran demands his lawful wife back and tries throughout the season to force Cihan to surrender Alya.
The second season concludes with dramatic events surrounding Cihan and Alya's wedding. Doubts arise for Alya when news emerges that Cihan may have a son with his first love Meryem, played by Ceren Moray. Meanwhile, Meryem's former husband Feyyaz, played by Ahmet Varli, attempts to eliminate Cihan but is killed by Cihan instead.
At the wedding ceremony, Boran attempts to shoot Cihan, but Sahin, played by Alper Cankaya, takes the bullet to protect his brother. Realizing her eldest son has lost his mind, mother Sadakat Albora, played by Gonca Cilasun, personally shoots Boran dead. Alya flees her wedding and leaves Turkey, though her feelings for Cihan remain unchanged.

Most of the core cast members return for the third season. Outside of characters killed off in the season two finale, departures include Ceren Moray as Meryem and Ipek Arkan as her sister Mujgan.
