Peruvian television host and actress Ethel Pozo will make her stage acting debut in the upcoming theater production Travesuras conyugales at the Multiteatro Movistar in Surco, Lima.
The play, directed by Joaquín Vargas, will officially open on Thursday, March 4. Following its initial run in Surco, the production will move to Lima Norte before embarking on a national and international tour.

Cast and Production Details
Pozo will share the stage with a cast of prominent Peruvian actors, including Yvonne Frayssinet, who has celebrated more than 50 years of artistic career. The cast also features Kukuli Morante and Marcelo Oxenford, both of whom, alongside Frayssinet, are widely recognized for their roles in the long-running television comedy-drama series Al fondo hay sitio.
Al fondo hay sitio is one of the most popular and enduring television programs in Peru, having aired on América Televisión for over a decade. Frayssinet is celebrated for her portrayal of matriarch Francesca Maldini, while Morante and Oxenford have played prominent recurring characters in the show's ensemble.
The production also stars Stefano Salvini, Lucía Oxenford, Luis Salas, and Carlos Reyes. Lucía Oxenford is herself the daughter of cast members Marcelo Oxenford and Yvonne Frayssinet, continuing a prominent theatrical family tradition in Peru.
International producer José Salinas serves as the general producer for Travesuras conyugales. The production is being staged under the management of Leneas Group del Perú, led by representative Carlos Reyes García, in coordination with the United States-based entertainment company Leneas Performing Arts.

Pozo's Acting Background and Media Work
Although Travesuras conyugales marks her debut on the theater stage, Pozo has built a career in Peruvian film and television. Her previous feature film credits include appearances in Papá X Tres in 2019 and No me digas solterona 2 in 2022.
She made her formal telenovela debut in 2023 in the television series Maricucha 2. In that production, she played the character Afrodita, a woman from the Cajamarca region in northern Peru, sharing storyline scenes with the character Vicente, played by Christian Domínguez.
Outside of acting, Pozo is a prominent broadcast personality in Peruvian media. She currently hosts the digital podcast Sin más que decir, where she recently revealed during an episode that she had previously engaged in a brief romance with a former member of the Puerto Rican musical group Menudo.
Teleton 2026 Programming Changes
The announcement of her theatrical debut follows changes to Pozo's broadcasting schedule after she was removed from the official roster for Teleton 2026. Teleton Peru is an annual televised charity broadcast that raises funds for children with physical disabilities at the Saint John of God Clinic.
The upcoming telethon experienced additional public attention when television figure Gisela Valcárcel confirmed that she would not serve as a host for the 2026 broadcast. Despite stepping back from hosting duties, Valcárcel donated a substantial financial sum to the organization and stated that the cause had her total support.
Valcárcel's decision sparked public reaction from television host Magaly Medina, who publicly criticized Valcárcel as double-faced regarding her conditions for participation. Medina ruled out any possibility of a joint broadcast appearance between the two presenters.
