Dominican Christian music group Barak has released a new single titled Bondadoso Dios, celebrating gratitude and divine faithfulness across life's different stages.

The track was released across major digital platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Deezer, as well as on key radio stations throughout the Dominican Republic. The band announced the launch in a statement sent to Diario Libre, a leading daily newspaper headquartered in Santo Domingo.
The song serves as an advance preview for the group's upcoming studio album, titled Iglesia. Band members Angelo Frilop, Robert Green, and Janiel Ponciano wrote the piece together following a period of shared reflection on maintaining faith through loss and personal difficulty.
Speaking about the message behind the release, lead vocalist Robert Green said that when looking back at their history, the group cannot deny that God has been good at all times, through both high points and low points.
Green stated that the new single represents the ensemble's personal testimony. He added that the band hopes everyone who listens to the song will remember God's presence and goodness in their own lives.
The single was recorded in the Dominican Republic. The band produced the arrangement to suit both private personal worship and corporate congregational church services.
International recognition and musical career
Barak was formed in Santo Domingo, the capital and largest city of the Dominican Republic. Located in the Caribbean, Santo Domingo is the political and cultural heart of the nation, which shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti.
Since forming in Santo Domingo, Barak has grown into one of the most prominent groups in Spanish-language Contemporary Christian music. Their worship songs are widely performed in evangelical churches and Christian music gatherings across Latin America, the Caribbean, and international Spanish-speaking communities.
The band has achieved significant industry recognition throughout their career, earning nominations for the Latin Grammy Awards. Presented annually by the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the Latin Grammys recognize excellence in Spanish- and Portuguese-language recordings across multiple genres worldwide.
Barak has also received nominations for the GMA Dove Awards. Established in 1969 by the Gospel Music Association, the Dove Awards honor outstanding achievements in Christian and gospel music. In addition, the group has been recognized at the Premios Arpa, an annual awards ceremony created by the National Academy of Music and Christian Arts to celebrate high standards in Spanish-language Christian music production.
Forthcoming album Iglesia and upcoming releases
The release of Bondadoso Dios marks the first stage in the promotional rollout for Barak's forthcoming full-length studio project, titled Iglesia. The upcoming album aims to build upon the devotional themes and congregational style highlighted in their latest single.
With distribution established across international digital streaming platforms and Dominican broadcast stations, the group continues their work in Latin gospel music as they prepare to share the full Iglesia album with audiences worldwide.
