Police said in a statement that officers were deployed to several locations in the port town of Holbaek, on the island of Zealand about 70 kilometers west of Copenhagen, after shots were fired that struck several people.
Police said they could not yet provide further information on the victims' condition. They were alerted to the incident at around 3:45 p.m. local time, 4:45 p.m. Greek time.

Police said the most likely explanation was a settling of scores between criminal organizations. According to reports, the shooting took place in a residential area.
Initial information indicated the perpetrators were seen leaving the scene in a white car, police said, and they appealed for witnesses to come forward.
