Russian voice actor Anton Alyokhin, who dubbed the superhero Batman across multiple animated films, has died following a road accident at the age of 40.
Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported his death on Wednesday, citing an official statement from dubbing production studio Flarrow Films. The studio confirmed that Alyokhin died tragically on September 26 after suffering fatal injuries in the collision.
The performer lived permanently in Kursk, an administrative regional center in western Russia. According to local reporting, he was buried at the city's Southern Cemetery.

Among the DC Comics projects listed by the studio, Alyokhin voiced the Dark Knight in Justice League Unlimited, Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, and Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

International voice acting losses
The news of Alyokhin's death comes alongside recent reports concerning the international voice acting community. It was previously reported that Canadian actor Peter Cullen, widely recognized for voicing Optimus Prime in the Transformers franchise, had also passed away.
Cullen brought the character of Optimus Prime to life across decades of animated series and blockbuster feature films. His work included roles in recent franchise installments such as Bumblebee and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
