Investment group AJ Bell has identified four key financial personality types that shape how people behave as money partners in a relationship, the firm announced.
AJ Bell worked with personal finance publication Wealth to develop a quiz that helps couples understand their financial behaviour. The quiz, called the Wealth Money Quiz, asks readers to choose answers closest to how they run their lives and finances.
“For many couples, money remains a touchy subject and can be an endless source of tension,” the publication noted in presenting the tool.
The firm said attitudes toward money are often so deeply embedded in how a person was raised that it can be hard to step back and observe whether those attitudes are causing damage to a relationship. The quiz is designed to reveal which of the four personality types a reader falls into and how they might adjust their behaviour.
