Customers selling foreign currency at PrivatBank branch counters could exchange US dollars at a purchase rate of 44.25 hryvnias and euros at a rate of 51.50 hryvnias per unit.
For non-cash card payments, PrivatBank maintained its exchange rates on Tuesday without modification. The dollar card payment rate remained fixed at 44.84 hryvnias, while the euro rate for card transactions matched the previous day's level at 52.63 hryvnias.
National Bank of Ukraine Official Exchange Rates
The National Bank of Ukraine, the nation's monetary authority, established the official exchange rate for 25 August at 44.71 hryvnias per US dollar. The official fixing reflected a weakening of the Ukrainian currency by 5 kopecks against the dollar compared with the previous official figure.
The hryvnia gained ground against the European currency in official trading. The central bank set the official euro rate for Tuesday at 52.16 hryvnias per euro, representing an appreciation of 9 kopecks for the Ukrainian currency against the euro.

Across commercial banking institutions in Ukraine, the average purchase rate for the US dollar dropped by 5 kopecks on Tuesday to 44.95 hryvnias per dollar. Customers looking to sell American currency across Ukrainian banks received an average purchase price of 44.48 hryvnias per dollar.
The average commercial bank exchange rate for buying euros decreased by 11 kopecks on Tuesday to 52.45 hryvnias per euro. Commercial banks offered an average selling rate for euros of 51.80 hryvnias per euro.
