Two Premium Bonds holders, one in Kent and one in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, have each won £1 million in the latest prize draw from National Savings & Investments (NS&I), according to a July 2026 update from the government-backed savings provider.

The Kent winner holds £21,000 in Premium Bonds and bought their winning bond in February 2026. The winner in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight holds £49,850 in bonds and bought theirs in March 2022.

NS&I publishes Premium Bonds results on the 1st of every month, or the next working day if that date falls on a weekend or bank holiday. Prizes range from £25 up to £100,000, aside from the two £1 million jackpots. Bond holders can check whether they have won using NS&I's Premium Bonds Prize Checker if they know their bond number.

Other winners of £100,000

Six further savers won £100,000 prizes. A winner in Sefton held £25,000 in bonds, while a winner in Surrey held just £100. A Nottinghamshire winner held £49,998, and a Hertfordshire winner held only £25. A winner in Newcastle upon Tyne held £50,000, and a second Surrey winner held £5,000.

How Premium Bonds work

Premium Bonds are a government savings product offered by NS&I that pay out prizes instead of interest. Every pound paid in equals one Premium Bond, and each bond has an equal chance of winning a prize, currently 22,000 to 1. The underlying rate is 3.8 per cent.

Winning numbers are selected by a machine called ERNIE, the Electronic Random Number Indicator Equipment. Bonds can be bought online through NS&I from a minimum of £25, up to a maximum holding of £50,000 per person.

Bond holders can cash in all or part of their Premium Bonds at any time online, or by phone through NS&I's free UK number, 08085 007 007.
