Technology outlet BGR has published a list on its website ranking five Android smartphones that had the most significant impact on the mobile device market.
The list opens with the HTC Dream, which was the first commercial smartphone based on the Android operating system. The slider device featured a 3.2-inch display and a physical QWERTY keyboard. BGR also selected the Motorola Droid, another phone with a physical keyboard, noting its built-in step-by-step navigation system.
Market Impact and Camera Features
The Samsung Galaxy Note earned a spot on the list for popularizing large-screen devices and including a built-in stylus, according to specialists. BGR highlighted the LG G4 for its advanced camera system, which included optical image stabilization, laser autofocus, and a color spectrum sensor capable of capturing high-quality photos in low light.
The Google Pixel was also named among the most important smartphones for offering built-in support for Google Assistant and providing buyers with unlimited cloud storage on Google Photos. In late July, publication SlashGear separately listed smartphones with the best software update support, highlighting models such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Google Pixel 8.
