Russian blogger Aiza-Liluna Ai sharply criticized Alexei Serov, lead vocalist of the band Discoteka Avariya, after he said that men over 40 look for younger partners instead of women their own age because they do not want to deal with someone else's problems. She posted her response on her Telegram channel.

Aiza said a young woman has no use for an old man who will not even help solve her problems, and that a 45-year-old woman certainly has no need for an aging man who is about to lose his virility anyway.
She said she was confident that a 45-year-old woman is fully capable of solving her own problems without a man's help. She also urged young women to avoid relationships with older men who share Serov's outlook.
What Serov Said
Serov's remarks came during an appearance on the podcast Generations, where he discussed the age gap in relationships. He said men aged 45 to 50 who want to start new relationships usually look for younger partners rather than women closer to their own age.
He explained the preference by saying men want ease in relationships and do not want to take on someone else's problems. By that age, he said, a woman typically already has family experience and children of her own.

A clip of Serov's comments spread quickly across social media, where many users described his position as infantile and sexist.
