Dedicated to female music, the fifth day of Rock in Rio 2024 shows which took place on Friday (20), was marked by Ivete Sangalo singing while going down the zip line and for special appearances, like the one the Bahian woman did at the show Iza to honor Nala the daughter that the carioca is expecting.
In addition to the Brazilians, some international attractions were also present at Cidade do Rock, which once again hosts the festival on Dia Delas. The Colombian Karol G the North Americans Katy Perry and Gloria Gaynor and the South African Tyla sang there on Friday.
The festival continues this Saturday (21), which, due to the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of Rock in Rio, will be exclusively dedicated to national music. There will be tributes to some of the main genres of national music, such as samba, rock, sertanejo and MPB. On Sunday (22), the last day of shows, names such as Shawn Mendes and Mariah Carey .

Ivete Sangalo on the zip line
Ivete Sangalo took advantage of the zip line in front of the Palco Mundo stage at Rock in Rio and repeated the feat from the show at Maracanã, in 2023, and flew over the audience while singing “Eva”.
She also took the opportunity to launch a new song on stage, a feat with Liniker. The two together performed the single “Seus Recados”.

Ivete paid tribute to Nala at Iza’s show
Wearing an outfit that bore Nala’s name, Ivete Sangalo paid tribute to Iza’s daughter in a show that was a kind of baby shower for the Rio native.
“Because a self-respecting aunt pays tribute on stage so she never forgets,” said Ivete, who sang the song “Talisman”.
Reinforcing the importance of women in her career, Iza also presented a medley of songs in homage to the artists who inspire her.

Karol G sang “Alibi” with Sevdaliza, Yseult and Pabllo Vittar
With a breathtaking performance, Colombian Karol G invited the singers to the stage Sevdaliza, Yseult and Pabllo Vittar. The three participated in the performance of “Alibi” — which became a huge hit on the charts.

To end the performance, Gloria Gaynor delivered the moment the crowd had been waiting for when she sang “I Will Survive” which made everyone present follow the lyrics.

Katy Perry sang with a fan and welcomed Cyndi Lauper on stage
With plenty of surprises, Katy Perry announced her new album “143” sang hits, danced alongside a fan and invited the singer back to the stage Cyndi Lauper.
Before making a quick change of clothes, Katy Perry asked who in the audience knew how to dance well. When she looked near the fence, she immediately called a fan who stood out in the crowd, inviting him to come up on stage.
