Helicopter of its air force Zimbabwe crashed today, killing three crew members and a child on the ground as it crashed into a house, the Air Force said in a statement.
The helicopter was on a training mission, with two pilots and a technician, when it disappeared from the radar.
It crashed into a house in Arcturus, a rural area 30 kilometers east of the capital Harare.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of life after the accident,” said Vice Admiral Elson Moyo.
Videos released on social media show the helicopter wreckage and members of the security forces conducting an investigation.
The Zimbabwean Air Force complains that its helicopters and fighter jets are old, but have not been able to buy new ones due to sanctions from Western countries.
