Death at the height of success
In a statement to CNN Angus Cloud’s family has confirmed his death and has not shared further details of the cause.
“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human being today. As an artist, friend, brother and son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and struggled intensely with that loss. The only solace we have is knowing that Angus is now reunited with his father who was best friends with him,” they wrote.
“Angus has been open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his death can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not silently fight alone. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss,” his family added.
“We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud,” an HBO spokesperson also told CNN . “He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
