The Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelesky made a historic visit to the UK on Wednesday and surprised one of his compatriots with a hug in a spontaneous moment during a press conference. The tripy Zelensky announced just Wednesday morning, as he supports her Ukrainian resistance after the Russian invasion last February.
During a press conference in Dorset, a Ukrainian woman journalist of the BBC stood up and prefaced her question by saying that she would like to give a hug Zelensky, but she probably wouldn’t be allowed. “Why not;”. Zelensky answered and offered them a warm one hug. Rishi Sunak, the British Prime Minister, could be seen in the background smiling and applauding.
After his visit to Britain, Mr Zelensky traveled to France, where he dined with Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Zelensky asked London and Paris to provide his country with fighter jets “as soon as possible” to repel the Russian attack.
