Yesterday we wrote that Xiaomi is preparing a new line of smartphones – Civi. The new items are expected to replace the CC series in China. Yesterday it was said that the renamed Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE will be the first device of the Civi series, but today the data is different. Firstly, the device was lit live in a video, and screenshots (they are of poor quality, but still) indicate that the Civi is an independent model. Secondly, the details about the camera say the same.

The very last screenshot shows that the Xiaomi Civi camera unit is in the shape of a rectangle, not a square with rounded corners like the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE. It looks more like a Xiaomi 11T or Poco M3 Pro camera unit. The front panel is also not like the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE – with a camera embedded in the center of the screen, and not in the corner.

And the most important thing is the camera image sensor. If Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE has 64-megapixel, then Civi is assigned a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM3 sensor – exactly the same one used in the Galaxy S21 Ultra! But the cost of the Civi will clearly be less than that of the current flagship Samsung. In general, the new data gives hope that the Civi will turn out to be a standalone model and will continue the traditions laid down in the Mi Note 10 Pro (Mi CC9 Pro) – a popular mid-range camera phone. Recall that the official premiere of Xiaomi Civi will take place on September 27.
