Women’s Day Menu: 5 recipes from appetizer to dessert

There Women’s day is a lot of things. First of all, and to be precise, it is the International women’s rights day, a commemoration that marks an important moment in recent history; it is a reminder of a very serious event, namely the fire that tore some workers in the factory from life in 1908 for having called a strike; on this day, more than ever we should remember how much psycho-physical violence there is still against too many women and young people; March 8 has become the day of mimosas, delicate and cheerful yellow flowers; in full, it has finally become an occasion for celebration and light-heartedness in the name of femininity. Hear it or not, celebrate it or not, we have a menu thought beyond clichés.

The appetizer defines the trend of the whole meal, turns it on, so we thought of something to eat in a single bite for an explosion of taste: beetroot quail eggs stuffed. As a first course, another purple shade: risotto with pomegranate, mascarpone and rosemary… to fall in love with at the first taste, with sweet and at the same time fresh and balsamic notes.

The scallops they have a refined and very delicate flavor, a buttery consistency that does not need many seasonings: they are in fact only marinated in a little soy and seared in a pan; we paired them with a mix of mushrooms and semi-fried potatoes, as a side dish. Mimosa cake as a dessert? Seen too many times… we bet on one mimosa tart with sheep ricotta and lemonunexpected and perfect at the end of a meal.
