The city hall of Rio de Janeiro has not yet held the floor for most fireworks shows for the Christmas Eve. Of the ten fireworks show points, only the one at Praia do Flamengo has already completed the process. The others depend on ongoing partnerships or future contracts.
The fireworks session on Ilha do Governador, Sepetiba, Piscinão de Ramos and Parque de Madureira will be next Thursday (23), practically a week before the turnaround. On Wednesday (22), the contestants will compete in the show at Igreja Nossa Senhora da Penha, a point that was already planned even before the cancellation of the shows, that is, since the middle of the year.
For the Copacabana beach fireworks, the city hall has already guaranteed the lease of ten rafts at R$ 3.94 million. The fireworks will be contracted by the company that won the tender and will have the service provision contract adjusted with the change of plans for New Year’s Eve.
The municipality has also set aside R$ 350,000 as a form of financial support for the Union of Hotels and Means of Accommodation in Rio de Janeiro, which will promote fireworks in Barra da Tijuca and Recreio, both in the West zone.
Added to the fireworks contract for Flamengo beach, which will cost R$413,000, and the ferry service, which will be contracted for R$440,000, the expenses for the fireworks show spread across ten points of the city already add up to R$ 5.143 million.
The value, however, will still increase significantly, precisely because all six fire points that have not yet been tendered have yet to be contracted and the value that will be paid to the company that won the Copacabana fires bid and was unable to get it has not yet been announced. sponsorship.
