The singer Chynna Phillips 56, said that no longer lives in the same house as her husband, actor William Baldwin 61 — known for his role in “Explosive Attraction”.
According to her, they live in different properties 160 kilometers apart — in Santa Barbara and Beverly Hills, both in the United States — because they need time apart.
“It’s so hard to articulate to people that we’re madly in love, that we really enjoy being around each other, that we cherish our marriage, that we never want to get divorced. We just need a little time apart because we’re kind of allergic to each other,” he said in a video on his YouTube channel.
Chynna said she and her husband are testing the new arrangement and that it works for her. Furthermore, he reported that he is very happy with the situation.
“In the meantime, we have date nights together, we do therapy, we have dinner with the kids and we go to the beach or the museum,” he said in the video.
He continued: “It’s so hard to articulate to people that we’re madly in love, that we really enjoy being around each other, that we cherish our marriage, that we never want to be apart. We just need some time apart because we’re kind of allergic to each other. And it’s okay. I’m sure many different couples are allergic to each other.”
The singer made a video call to seek testimony from William Baldwin about the rearrangement and he said that “the reality is that you have allergies, I have a certain energy that makes you have a… Look at your back that has just been twisted now . You do things that, you know, kind of alter my energy sometimes.”
Chynna justified her choice by saying that she does not feel obligated by the Bible to live with her husband every day.
“I have to take care of him, I have to be kind to him, I have to be affectionate with him. I have to obey him or submit — and I do that by being around.”
The two have been married since 1995 and together they have three children: Jameson, 24, and Brooke, 20, and son Vance, 23.
