Whoopi Goldberg bans creation of hologram with her image after death

In this Wednesday’s episode (12) of the talk show “The View” actress Whoopi Goldberg admitted that she determined in her will that no one make a digital hologram with her image after her death.

According to the publication of the magazine “People”, the subject became the agenda when the panel of five women of the program discussed the recent news that, a court of Michigan, in the United States, declared valid the handwritten will of the singer Aretha Franklin, found under the pillow from the sofa, in the face of a long legal dispute between his children.

“I’m going to be dust in the wind”, said Goldberg about the death, even revealing that she prefers to be cremated when she dies.

“I will go around the world, I will be everywhere. I might be in your backyard, I don’t know. […] I don’t want people to feel obligated to go to the cemetery,” he added. “If you want to remember me, remember me.”

When asked by co-host Joy Behar if she cared about how she was portrayed, Whoopi stated, “I don’t want to be a hologram. This has been in my will for 15 years.”

“They don’t ask you, that’s the question,” the 67-year-old actress continued after Behar noted that “no one has really asked me if I want to be a hologram yet.”

“They just do this, and then you say, ‘Hey, isn’t that Tupac? Wait a minute”, “said the Oscar winner. “I don’t want that. It’s a little weird, scary, yes, “she finished.

no biopics

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time that Whoopi Goldberg has given details of the contents of her will. As of late 2022, the actress said her post-death documents also prevent unauthorized biopics about her life.

“They won’t make movies because my will says, ‘Unless you talk to my family, try. Try it,'” he said at the time.
