THE Big Brother Brazil was presented by Tadeu Schmidt in the 22nd edition, in 2022, and once again featured the participation of several famous people. Previous fame on social media was not enough to help celebrities from previous editions win the program, but BBB 22 had, for the first and only time (so far), a winner from the Camarote group: the actor and singer Arthur Aguiar .
The trio of finalists for the program was made up of three famous people, something that had not yet been seen on the reality show: actor Douglas Silva, athlete Paulo André and Arthur Aguiar were voted on by the public who decided: the winner had 68.96% of the votes, PA received 29.91% and Douglas had only 1.13% of the vote. The vote is the largest in a final in the history of the reality show, with 751,366,679 votes. This is the only edition in BBB history with three men in the final.
Arthur won the top prize of R$1.5 million, without tax deduction, and also won a Fiat Pulse Abarth car.
During confinement, the actor was married to the influencer and also ex-BBB member Maíra Cardi. Outside the house, she kept an eye on the amount of bread her husband ate and Arthur’s fans nicknamed him “little bread”, something that was clearly highlighted in the edition.
Another emblematic moment of Arthur at BBB were the direct clashes he had with the members of Quarto Lollipop, mainly with the influencer Jade Picon. In one of the episodes, she answered a Big Fone and challenged her opponent: “Shall we? Me and you at Paredão?”
Arthur was married to Maíra between 2017 and 2020, when she discovered and publicly revealed that she had been cheated on more than 50 times by the actor. The following year, they decided to reconcile, but announced in October 2022 the definitive end of the relationship. The former couple had a daughter, Sofia, now 6 years old.
In June 2023, the ex-BBB started dating Jheny Santucci and the two intend to get married. They had a son, Gabriel who was born on February 12, 2024.
