The singer Veigh 23, will be on stage for the third time at this edition of Rock in Rio this Saturday (21). He will be part of the group that will perform at Forever Trap which opens the Palco Mundo stage at Brazil Day .
On a day organized to pay tribute to national music and, at the same time, celebrate the festival’s 40th anniversary, the São Paulo trapper will sing alongside Hair , Philip Ret , Kayblack , Matuê , Orochi and Ryan SP some of the main names of the genre in Brazil.
On the first weekend of the festival, Veigh had already taken to the stage to perform alongside Kayblack on the Sunset Stage, on Friday (13). He also participated as a guest of Nagalli, his producer, in a show on the Supernova stage, last Saturday (14).

Who is Veigh, who performs 3 times at Rock in Rio?
Trapper Veigh was born in the city of Itapevi, located in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, and began his musical career at the age of 17, forming the duo Constellation with his friend Heitor. His journey to stardom gained momentum when he started working with Nagali, 27, who is his producer to this day.
The consolidation of success came in 2023, when he reached the top of Spotify’s global album chart with the release of the album “From the Deluxe Buildings “.
In an interview with CNN Veigh said that, even with his career taking off and the growth of trap music in Brazil, he never thought it would be possible to make it to Rock in Rio. He said that he watched the festival’s shows when he was younger, but he thought it was all so distant that he never even dreamed of getting to where he got.
“Today, I’m going to sing on three stages, on three different days. These are really things that we would like to happen, but they are so specific that we end up not even dreaming about them. We just hope that it will happen, but we can’t be sure of that,” he confessed.
The trapper passed through the stages of Rock in Rio Lisbon and of the The Town which are made by the organization of Rock in Rio, before arriving at the main franchise this year. He argues that these performances gave him and trap music as a whole the credentials to arrive at the Rio festival.
“I think it’s based on two things. [fatores]: both because I’m an artist who’s breaking numbers, is moving and doing different things, and because the guys want to give trap this chance to show itself in a different way,” he explained.
“There’s no way to pretend and not listen. The trap kids, the trap girls, are really moving the scene, neck and neck with other genres that are absurdly big.”
One of the main names in the trap scene in Brazil, Veigh told CNN What were your references for creating your musical style, since the genre is marked precisely by the mixture of influences and the wide possibilities of bridges between different rhythms.
The trapper pointed to funk as his main source and root, as well as rap from the 2000s, which he listened to a lot when he was younger.
“My lyrics are based a lot on funk in terms of lyrics, and on these older raps in terms of melody, in terms of beats. I also try to do new things, but based a lot on that, because in the beginning I did a lot of funk,” explained Veigh, adding that he liked to make music following the ostentation funk style before arriving at trap.
