Now, the creator Mike White hinted that there is a “real possibility” of seeing Tanya again in a prequel series dedicated to her.

Tanya’s life had an operatic epilogue in the second season, set in Sicily, when – spoiler alert! of her-of her died while fleeing a yacht, after realizing that her new husband was trying to have her killed. Coolidge was one of the strong points of this darkly comic series. She is owed some of her most hilarious and heartbreaking moments that have earned her Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice and Emmy awards.

Speaking at the event, White revealed that despite her untimely end, it’s not out of the question that viewers could see Tanya again. As reported by Deadlineswhen asked about a possible prequel series, White would have replied: «Yes, I think it is completely possible, we were just talking about it… It’s a fun idea. And making Jennifer look 20 years younger would be fun, too. I imagine you would be in favour.’

At the Sydney Film Festival, White declared that Australia is also a planned location for a future series, specifying: «My dream would be to touch all continents, so yes… If we continue we will have to come to Australia. That would be a lot of fun. Here, we know, there is an enormous wealth of talent and the beauty is indisputable, so it seems to me that it has all the right things». “Australia has my vote,” Coolidge added.
