“White Collar” reboot is in development, says series creator

The creator of “White Collar” , Jeff Eastin , revealed on Thursday (6), during the “Variety TV Fest”, that a new version of the series is in development. The production starring Matt Bomer It is Kim DeKay it aired from 2009 to 2014.

“Let’s restart. I’m writing the script,” Eastin said. The actors who brought the production’s protagonists to life were also on the panel and confirmed their participation in the reboot.

“I’m in,” Bomer announced. “It’s a fantastic script and answers all the questions anyone would have if they watched the show and would introduce the series to those who haven’t seen it yet. Both edges of the sword are sharp,” DeKay added.

Tiffani Thiessen who plays Elizabeth Burke, was also on the panel and will return to the plot.

Willie Garson who died in September 2021, had a prominent role in “White Collar” and Eastin assured that he will be honored in the reboot.

“It will honor Willie in a profound way,” DeKay said. “With a lot of sensitivity and heart,” added Thiessen.

Eastin didn’t give plot details, but said he intentionally left things open-ended when writing the series’ conclusion in 2014.
