Before starting this text, I will make a warning to the readers. I didn’t originally go to Argentina – from where I recently returned – to eat.
As a São Paulo native, I went to watch the Copa Sulamericana final in Córdoba, which is approximately 700 km from the capital Buenos Aires .
It turns out that, as everyone should know, the game was disappointing and I had to drown my sorrows with what I most like to do to regret being runner-up: the solution was to drive all that distance and enjoy Palermo my favorite neighborhood in Buenos Aires, eating and drinking the way I deserve (or think I deserve) in the 24 hours I had left in Argentine territory.
I could go to places I already knew and that deserve an honorable mention here, such as don julio , Mishiguene , Elena , La Cabrera It is The Brigade .
However, I chose to “check off” from my endless list of the Argentine capital some places that I wanted to zero out on the menu or visit.
Hence, in today’s text, I bring new places that I visited in Buenos Aires in the neighborhood of Palermo.
I really hope you get to meet them soon – and that you like them! Gracias, my beloved Buenos Aires (to paraphrase Carlos Gardel and Alfredo Le Pera)!
The Butchery

Parrilla with eight years of existence and with informal service in its few tables, the The Butchery serves meats from farms belonging to the family of one of the owners.
It is, without a doubt and by far, one of the parrillas that made me the happiest in Buenos Aires among the many that exist and that I have been to.
Among the options on the menu, I highlight the chinchulines and mollejas as starters, and the parrilla cut as the main dish. For dessert, it is worth trying a leche asada – a kind of milk pudding that is a family recipe.

fat boy

Various items on the menu fat boy can be seen in the hundreds of parrillas in the city. However, the restaurant is unique because, being an Asian parrilla, it contains unusual (and excellent) preparations that mix local cuisine with Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai dishes.
For example, molejas are accompanied by chilli, miso and corn; the chorizo steak is served with rice, wakame and ssamjang sauce, among the many dishes I had.
Also worth mentioning are the karaage, the baos with pancetta and the steak tataki.

hello coffee

O hello It is a “café-bakery-confectionery-delicatessen” opened about a year ago that could be in any big city in the world, but it is perhaps the place that best represents what Palermo is today.
It’s modern, young, busy (lines at the door on weekends give that away), with delicious food with ingredients prepared almost all on site.
The menu contains breakfast items, brunch items and dishes that can be ordered throughout the day. Highlights were the incredible medialunas, the pastrami sandwich, the trout gravlax and the cucumbers with yoghurt and sumac.
Costa Rica 6020, Palermo, Buenos Aires / Whatsapp: +54 5099-7146 / Opening hours: Wednesday to Monday from 9am to 7pm.
Florida Obrador

Opened in March of this year, the Florida Obrador is an ice cream parlor with seasonal flavors and whose objective is to use 100% of the ingredients without waste (seed, stem, root, fruit, among others). It’s another place that has been successful and whose queues give it away.
Due to seasonality, often respecting the season of the year, it is possible that the flavors I tasted are no longer available when readers visit. Highlights were white pomelo, ginger cream, lemon and fermented tangerine.
Soler 5063, Palermo, Buenos Aires / Opening hours: Wednesday to Sunday from 3 pm to 11 pm.
Tres Monos

Opened in 2019 and for three years featured in the ranking of the best bars in the world according to the 50 Best Bars (in 2020 in 85th place, in 2021 in 33rd place and in 2022 at 27th place), O Tres Monos serves great cocktails on a busy neighborhood corner.
With an informal service and an unusual presentation of signature drinks (such as Animese al Japonés, which is served in a Pokémon cup), it is a must-see as a stopover or destination.
Guatemala 4899, Palermo, Buenos Aires / Tel.: +54 2896-9457 / Opening hours: Sunday to Wednesday from 1 pm to 2 am; Thursday to Saturday from 1pm to 3am.
