Before starting this text, I will make a warning to the readers. I didn’t originally go to Argentina – where I recently returned – to eat.
São Paulo that I am, I went to accompany the Copa Sudamericana final in Córdoba, which is approximately 700 km from the capital Buenos Aires .
It so happens that, as everyone knows, the game was disappointing and I had to drown my sorrows with what I like to do most to regret the runner-up: the solution was to drive all that distance and enjoy Palermo my favorite neighborhood in Buenos Aires, eating and drinking the way I deserve (or think I deserve) in the 24 hours I had left in Argentine territory.
I could go to places I already knew and that deserve an honorable mention here, such as Don Julio , Mishiguene , Elena , La Cabrera and The Brigade .
However, I chose to “tick” from my endless list of the Argentine capital some places that I wanted to scratch the menu or visit.
That’s why, in today’s text, I bring you new places I visited in Buenos Aires in the neighborhood of Palermo.
I really hope that you can meet them soon – and that you enjoy them! Gracias, mi Buenos Aires dear (paraphrasing Carlos Gardel and Alfredo Le Pera)!
La Carniceria

Parrilla with eight years of existence and with informal service in its few tables, the La Carniceria It serves meat from one of the owners’ family farms.
It is, without a doubt and by far, one of the grills that made me the happiest in Buenos Aires among the many that exist and that I have been to.
Among the menu options, I highlight the chinchulines and mollejas as a starter, and the parrilla cut as the main dish. For dessert, try a leche asada – a kind of milk pudding that is a family recipe.

Fat boy

Several of the menu items Fat boy can be seen in the hundreds of parrillas existing in the city. However, the restaurant is unique because, as it is an Asian grill, it contains unusual (and excellent) dishes that mix local cuisine with Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai dishes.
For example, molejas are served with chili, miso and corn; the bife de chorizo is served with rice, wakame and ssamjang sauce, among the many dishes I ate.
Also worthy of mention are the karaage, the baos with pancetta and the steak tataki.

hello coffee

O hello It’s a “cafe-bakery-confectionery-deli” opened about a year ago that could be in any big city in the world, but it is perhaps the place that best represents what Palermo is today.
It’s modern, young, busy (the lines at the door on weekends deliver that), with delicious food with ingredients prepared almost all on site.
The menu contains breakfast, brunch and all-day entrees. Highlights were the amazing medialunas, the pastrame sandwich, the trout gravlax and the cucumbers with yogurt and sumac.
Costa Rica 6020, Palermo, Buenos Aires / Whatsapp: +54 5099-7146 / Opening hours: Wednesday to Monday from 9 am to 7 pm.
Obrador Florida

Opened in March of this year, the Obrador Florida is an ice cream shop with seasonal flavors that aims to use 100% of the ingredients without waste (seeds, stems, roots, fruits, among others). It’s another place that has been successful and whose queues deliver this.
Due to seasonality, often respecting the season of the year, it is possible that the flavors I tasted are no longer available when readers visit. Highlights were white pomelo, cream of ginger, lemon and fermented tangerine.
Soler 5063, Palermo, Buenos Aires / Opening hours: Wednesday to Sunday from 3 pm to 11 pm.
Tres Monos

Opened in 2019 and for two years present in the ranking of the best bars in the world according to the 50 Best Bars (in 2020 in the 85th place and in 2021 in the 33rd place), the Tres Monos serves great cocktails on a busy neighborhood corner.
With informal service and unusual presentation of signature drinks (as is the case with Animese al Japonés, which is served in a Pokémon glass), it is an unmissable place as a stopover or destination.
Guatemala 4899, Palermo, Buenos Aires / Tel.: +54 2896-9457 / Opening hours: Sunday to Wednesday from 1 pm to 2 am; Thursday to Saturday from 1 pm to 3 am.
