When will the film “Ferrari” premiere in Brazil?

The film “Ferrari”, by director Michael Mann, tells the story of the Italian car manufacturer and the financial crisis experienced by Enzo Ferrari (Adam Driver) in the 1950s.

With a release date already defined, the film arrives in Brazilian cinemas on February 8, 2024, as announced by distributor Diamond Films.

Set in 1957 Modena, Italy, the film is set at a key period in the life of former racing driver Enzo Ferrari, as he tries to overcome the death of his son, fights to maintain his company and seeks to dominate the tracks. .

To try and save his business, he decides to take part in the Mille Miglia, a grueling 1,000-mile race across Italy.

While he worries about his career, Enzo still has to deal with a marriage in crisis.

With a star-studded cast, “Ferrari” stars Adam Driver, but also stars Penélope Cruz as his wife Laura Ferrari, Shailene Woodley as his lover Lina Lardi, and Patrick Dempsey as driver Piero Taruffi.

In addition to the Brazilian Gabriel Leone, who plays the driver Alfonso de Portago, a Spanish aristocrat who was prominent at Ferrari at that time.

Even though it revolves around the world of Formula 1, the director makes a point of highlighting that “Ferrari” is not just a racing film, but also captures the conflicts that existed throughout Enzo’s life.

Penélope Cruz said that even if someone isn't interested in cars like she is, the film has many other layers that focus on family and relationships.

The frozen-in-time environment was also very useful for Michael Mann and the actors.

“Modena is completely unchanged, and when you see the home of Ferrari, that is the real home of Ferrari. When you are in the family mausoleum, that is the real Ferrari mausoleum. When you see Enzo in the barbershop chair, that's the chair Enzo actually sat in. The barber who is shaving is Antonio's son, who was the real barber”, said the director.
