When Android 14 will be released: detailed schedule published

On February 8, Google not only released the first build of Android 14 to developers, but also published a detailed development schedule for the new version of the system. It converges with last year, so it was hardly a surprise for experienced users.

Developer Preview versions will be released first (from February to March) – the most unstable test builds, focused exclusively on developers to optimize applications for the new version of the system.

Then, starting in April (or mid-March – the schedule can be interpreted in different ways), it will be the turn of Beta builds. They are intended for enthusiasts who want to test the fresh Android 14 and report to developers about possible bugs and errors. The beta testing period will be at least until July.

Only after that will the stable version of Android 14 be released – apparently, not earlier than August. Usually, stable versions of the system became available in the fall, but Android 13 was released in mid-August. Therefore, the exact release date of the new version of the platform is still unknown.
