What's going on between Miley Cyrus and her father?

Miley Cyrus's failure to thank her father during the last edition of the Grammys showed the many cracks that, at this moment, there are in the Cyrus house. After that evening, the rumors of a rift between the brothers became more insistent and, after their parents' divorce in 2022, they decided to take one or the other's side. At this time, the interpreter of Flowers she is completely in favor of her mother Tish and has reduced contact with Billy Ray to the bare minimum so much so that it is rumored that, despite his attempts, he has still not managed to congratulate her on the Grammy she won. It would seem that the singer has made herself unavailable and has contact with her father only out of absolute necessity.

But how did this family feud arise and, above all, why did it get to this point? Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, after a marriage that lasted 30 years and 6 children (Brandi and Trace, from a previous relationship with the woman, Cody, son of Billy Ray and Miley, Braison, Noah, conceived during their union) have decided to divorce. The manager, some time later, spoke of now irreconcilable differences due to a profound lack of respect and a relationship that had now become toxic.

Like any divorce, it left many consequences, especially among the children who, at least initially, decided to preserve the family unity and maintain peaceful relationships with each other. The balance was broken when Tish decided to marry the actor Dominic Purcell: from the wedding photos, it was seen that the only children present were Brandi, Miley and Traci. In the same hours in which the ceremony was underway, Braison and Noah published a shot together on Instagram in which a shirt worn by the second one which depicts Billy Ray stands out.

According to what some people close to the Cyrus family have explained, glthe other two children had been invited, but with the promise that their presence would mean accepting their mother's new partner into their family. Declining the invitation, therefore, had a very specific meaning and Miley is the only one (among both of their children) to have taken her mother's side and distanced herself from her father.
