THE COP30 It happens in Belém, capital of Pará, between November 10 and 21 this year. The summit should place our country as a protagonist in the preservation of the Amazon, energy transition and climate financing to combat global warming.
The first meeting of Global Climate Summit It occurred in Berlin, Germany in 1995. In it, world leaders concluded that the commitments made earlier by the parties were insufficient and that a protocol and joint action plan between countries would be necessary to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions and curb climate change.
Over the age of 30, new and important agreements have been signed between countries to try to slow down climate change – although they have not always been fulfilled.
